How It Works

Our process is simple and transparent, ensuring you always know what’s happening:

1

Referral & Intake

You or your support coordinator can contact us by phone or email. We’ll discuss your situation, goals and any current supports. We’ll explain the next steps and answer your questions.

2

Initial Meeting

We arrange a first meeting with the participant (and family/carers). This can be face-to-face (if local) or via telehealth. We get to know the person, learn about daily routines, and discuss any immediate concerns.

3

Functional Behaviour Assessment (FBA)

Over a few weeks, we conduct the assessment. This involves observations in real-life settings, interviews with everyone involved, and data collection. We work respectfully and maintain clear communication so you’re always informed.

4

Plan Development

Our team analyses the FBA information and drafts a Behaviour Support Plan. We then review it with you and your support network. We make sure it reflects the participant’s goals, preferences and strengths. Once finalized, we provide the plan in writing and explain how to use it.

5

Implementation & Training

We help put the plan into practice. This may be one-on-one coaching, group training for support staff, or on-the-job coaching at home/school. We guide you through each strategy and answer your questions along the way.

6

Review & Ongoing Support

After implementation begins, we schedule regular follow-ups. We monitor how things are going, gather feedback, and make adjustments as needed. We stay involved for as long as necessary to help achieve positive outcomes.

Throughout the process, we keep everything clear and collaborative. Our aim is to make behaviour support manageable and effective. If the situation is urgent, we will prioritize an accelerated assessment and safety planning to support you and the participant right away.
